MA Fine Art graduate selected for Mall Galleries exhibition

MA Fine Art graduate Keron Beattie selected for FBA Futures 2019.

FBA Futures is the UK’s biggest annual survey of emerging contemporary figurative art, mapping new practices and ideas of representation and draughtsmanship. MA Fine Art graduate Keron Beattie has been selected alongside 40 other artists to exhibit in the 2019 exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. 

Keron’s intricate figures use a combination of lead and glass to explore the notion of stained glass existing away from buildings. Keron comments: “The idea of lead and glass working together and giving each other structure and form intrigued me, and encouraged me to see how far I could push their potential as complementary materials, with a long history, whilst also developing my core research interests.”

Keron graduated from MA Fine Art in 2018. The FBA Futures 2019 exhibition will be open from 8 – 19 January 2019.
