New creative digital BSc courses to be launched at Norwich University of the Arts

Two new courses are set to be launched at Norwich University of the Arts in the light of growing industry demand for graduates with creative digital skills.

The BSc (Hons) in Creative Computing will be launched in September 2022 followed by BSc (Hons) in Creative Technology the following year (subject to validation).

On the BSc Creative Computing course, students will learn creative design principles and coding, interaction design, and computational creativity, as they build an understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

On the BSc Creative Technologies course, students will learn a broad range of technologies — allowing them to create in AI, soft robotics, augmented, virtual, and extended realities and other technologies that will either unlock high quality roles in games, computer animation, VFX, XR and AI, or set them on their own course as a digital creative artist.

“These two BSc courses have been designed in response to high demand from the digital and creative industries for graduates who both understand creative design principles but have advanced digital and technical skills. The creative industries are changing. The lines are blurring between making and creating in the physical and digital worlds. These will be the graduates of the future: technology-led creative professionals.””
