NUA ranked in UK’s top 10 universities for Teaching

Norwich University of the Arts is ranked 10th in the annual league table of the UK’s higher education institutions for teaching quality, according to the 2018 edition of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide.

We were also the highest in the Eastern region. The latest edition of The Times and Sunday Times guide also identifies NUA as the “third most improved” university in the country across a range of nine performance measures: rising from 88th to 60th in the overall league table.

Vice-Chancellor Professor John Last welcomed the guide’s verdict: “We’re delighted that once again the quality of teaching at NUA has been identified as being among the very best in the country. “This is well-deserved recognition of the hard work and commitment of staff across our range of courses – and also the university’s determination to provide students with the knowledge and expertise they need to thrive in the workplace in future. “We’re also pleased to see our overall position rise to 60th. We’re confident that we can rise higher in the years ahead.”

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 profiles all 131 UK higher education institutions. The guide’s league table reflects nine performance indicators: students’ satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider experience, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student-to-staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and degree completion rates.
