Frances Kennedy
Fran joined Norwich university in February 2024 bringing a wealth of experience and a strong connection to the institution.
With her background as a Norwich alumni, having completed both a Photography BA in 2012 and an MA in Moving Image and Sound in 2018, Fran possesses a deep understanding of the university’s culture, values, and community.
My six-plus years of experience in teaching Photography and content creation for further education institutions provides me with valuable insights into educational practices, student engagement, and alumni relations. My skills and knowledge as a freelancer further enrich my perspective, offering a diverse range of skills and knowledge relevant to the creative industry.
My role as a liaison between the university and its alumni community is crucial in nurturing a sense of belonging, pride, and engagement among former students. My passion for the institution, combined with my dedication to supporting alumni makes me a champion for Norwich university graduates.
At the heart of my approach to my work lies the belief that photography serves as a powerful tool for storytelling and self-expression. Forever investigating the inherent tension between objective truth and subjective interpretation, recognizing that every photograph is a product of both the photographer’s perspective and the viewer’s perception.
