My current research focuses on animated movement within surrealist landscapes, visual humour and memory, combined to form cohesive narratives. As a moving image director, my work spans 2D, stop motion animation and live action – combining traditional animation processes and contemporary film making technology. My films have been selected to showcase at acclaimed animation festivals, such as Edinburgh International Film Festival, Encounters Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival.
My teaching practice has included working with high profile museums and creative institutions such as the British Film Institute, Barbican, Museum of London and the Saatchi Galley. My authored works include Animation Studio, an interactive guide to animation, published by Walker Books.
