Sarah Kennedy
Sarah has worked at Norwich for 8 years, but also has first-hand experience of being a Norwich student. Her role as Print Technician involves being exceptionally committed to the student and staff experiences, supporting all matter of printing. She facilitates the student’s journey from protypes to final exhibition pieces, including the external exhibitions produced by East Gallery. She has immersed herself into the depths of what the University can offer in her role as a Governor, an Internal Examiner and continuous dedication to enhancing wellbeing such as Parental Connections
I have a BA in Photography and PGCERT: Art Design and Media. After graduating. I worked as an Evening Technician: Photography, Visual Merchandiser for House of Fraser and Zara and completed ‘Merchandiser and Management’ training through Zara Head Office. In 2015 I became Print Technician for Norwich managing the operation of the Universities large format print facilities and print management system across campus. Throughout my time at the University, I have been privileged to work with years of students developing their understanding of print and producing outcomes for portfolio to industry standards and expanding campus resources. I am passionate about building strong external relationships with suppliers and companies to creating unique, holistic, educationally aligned experiences at Norwich University of the Arts. I am ambitious to creating teaching that can be enhanced by our technology (Pedagogy before Technology) making sure we integrate the fantastic facilities we have built in my years here.
As a working parent I have worked extremely hard to build “Parental Connections” group for Staff to support working parents, empowering their sense of achievement continuing a career whilst building a family.
Being a devoted staff member allows me to communicate with every aspect of the University, Students, Staff, Governors, Suppliers, Partners, Research Projects and External Shows.
