Your Graduation Venue and Directions

Carrow Road Stadium

All Norwich University of the Arts Graduation ceremonies take place at Carrow Road Stadium in Norwich.

As the home of Norwich City Football Club, Carrow Road provides a unique and memorable backdrop for your big day. The larger venue allows us to accommodate more guests, creating an exciting and celebratory environment, while maintaining the sense of community that makes Norwich so special.

Opened in 1935, Carrow Road has been a landmark in Norwich for decades, hosting countless sporting events and large-scale gatherings. Its modern facilities and rich history make it the perfect setting to mark your achievements.

On the day of your Graduation

We ask that you are at Carrow Road at least 45 minutes before the start of your ceremony.

Students who arrive late may not be able to cross the stage in recognition of their award.

Getting to Carrow Road

Carrow Road is signposted along the major routes coming into Norwich via the A11 and A47, with the postcode NR1 1JE.

Directions to Carrow Road (opens in a new window)

If you are travelling internationally, you can fly into Norwich Airport (usually via Amsterdam). From there it’s a short bus ride or drive into the city centre. The nearest large international airport is London Stansted and information about travelling to and from the airport can be found on the Stansted Airport website.

Public transport to Norwich and car hire are also available from the other major London airports, and further information can be found on their websites: (https://www.gatwickairport.com/, https://www.heathrow.com/). 

Parking at Carrow Road

Free parking is available at the football ground for the duration of each ceremony. When you arrive, a steward will give you a timed parking permit to display in your car, depending on the time of your ceremony.

Please note that parking is limited, so you may want to look at alternative arrangements to travel to graduation.
