Changes to Personal Details
If any of your personal details change while you hold a student visa—such as your name, address, or passport information—you must update the relevant authorities promptly. Keeping your records accurate ensures compliance with visa conditions and helps avoid any future complications.
I have changed my name. Who do I need to inform?
We can only update your official name if you are able to provide official documentation confirming your name has changed. Please bring the original document confirming your name has changed to the Student Enquiries Office where a copy will be taken for our records. The Student Visa Compliance Team will contact you to discuss updating your details with UKVI.
My home address / contact address / personal email / mobile number has changed. Who do I need to inform?
The University is required to keep a complete history of all your addresses and contact details whilst you are a student at Norwich University of the Arts. If you move house, or change your mobile number or email address, you should first update eVision:
https://evision.norwichuni.ac.uk/
You should also inform the Home Office that your contact details have changed using your UKVI account:

Your contact address is expected to be within close proximity to the University. If you have provided an address that is a significant distance from the University, we may contact you to discuss this further.
What other changes do I need to update my UKVI account with?
You should update your UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account if you’ve changed your:
- mobile phone number
- email address
- name
- identity document, such as your passport or national identity card
- home address
- postal address
You can also:
- correct your date of birth
- add an extra nationality – if you have dual nationality, for example
- add an extra identity document
- change your photo, for example if your appearance has changed and you can no longer be recognised from your photo
- give someone else access to your visa applications, if you’d like them to help you apply
- give someone else ownership of the UKVI account, if you set up the account on their behalf
