James is Senior Lecturer on BA (Hons) Photography. James started working at Norwich University of the Arts in March 2021, having previously worked as an associate lecturer at Northampton University, as well as leading a Foundation Degree course in Photography and Digital Imaging linked to Buckinghamshire New University.
I gained an MA in Photography in 2014 at Norwich University of Arts which led me to focus on issues of identity and representation within African and Caribbean Communities. My ongoing professional practice has evolved through producing editorial content documenting the London Carnival and Sound System culture for leading Hair and Beauty magazines. My current research practice is on “African Artefacts and the colonial contexts in which they exist”.
