Katie Walker is an Evening Textiles Technician at Norwich University of the Arts

My venture into textiles began in 2010 while studying at Norwich University of the Arts, specialising in screen and digital print. Since then, I’ve navigated various roles as an in-house print designer, moving around the country for diverse opportunities and collaborating with high-street brands such as Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, and Next.

In 2017, I commenced an MA in children’s book illustration at Cambridge Art School.

After graduating, I was commissioned to illustrate my first children’s book “Roar like a Lion,” which can be found in Waterstones.

Presently, I work as a freelancer in various areas, including as a print designer for women’s and kids’ fashion, illustrating children’s books, handling graphic design projects for films, engaging in set painting, and managing my own online shop Katie Walker Studio.
