Kevin Freeman is Director of Fashion and Textiles at Norwich University of the Arts

A person stands on an indoor balcony, smiling and looking to the side. They are wearing a patterned short-sleeved shirt over a black top with black pants. The background includes red and white walls and various tables and equipment.

Kevin was previously Course Leader on the BA Costume for Theatre and Screen at Wimbledon College of Art (UAL) where part of his role offered a commitment to create and promote sustainable and ethical thinking within the Theatre and Film Industries.

An understanding of how to meet the requirements of practice in a contemporary and forward-thinking way was crucial to equip his students with the confidence to challenge convention in an industry that is built largely on tradition.
Collaboration has always been key to his own practice and this led to him developing and directing extremely successful educational projects with the V&A, National Gallery, Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace that have centred around ethical sourcing, repurposing and investigating ways of creating new outcomes from diverse sources.
