Norwich students and graduates have been recognised across a multitude of awards, covering a range of disciplines.
Below is a round up of some of the recent successes from our award-winning community.
Congratulations to BA (Hons) Design for Publishing students for winning in the international Society of Publication Designers awards, where judging took place in New York City.
Lucy Roberts won First Place for her project, Lisbon Rules while Cat Slaymaker was awarded Second Place for her work, Obsessed with Curling (pictured).
Katy Alldridge took first place for her project, Coquette, and also secured third place with her work, Seductive.
Rebekah Sinclair, BA (Hons) Design for Publishing has been awarded 3rd prize in the Adult Fiction category, responding to a brief about Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid (pictured above).
Megan Smith, BA (Hons) Design for Publishing, was shortlisted in the Adult Non-Fiction category, designing a cover for Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Judge Jason Smith, Art Director at Cornerstone, said this of Rebekah’s work: ‘I loved the immersive quality to this cover. There are lots of objects that relate well to the content of the book and its themes. The type hierarchy works great, and I love the additional copy elements added with regards to the set list. Rebekah responded well to the judge’s feedback and it was refreshing to see a different approach to the brief incorporating still life and photography.‘
