Constructed Textiles Workshop

Students can experiment with a variety of materials and techniques for constructed textile design using our Stoll Digital Knit Machine, traditional dubiers, hand looms, sewing machines and CAD embroidery.

In the constructed textiles workshop you’ll make use of digital sewing, embroidery and knitting machines with professional software, spinning wheels, tapestry frames, smocking machines, shaft tabletop looms, digital reactive and acid dye fabric printer, Epson 7000 digital disperse dye sublimation printer, Mimaki TX2 digital fabric printer.

Located at the heart of the campus in our Duke Street building our textiles workshops are equipped with resources for digital and traditional knit, weave, embroidery, and print.

The Print and Dye Workshop provides space to explore printed textiles using a variety of traditional dyeing methods or digital print using our Mimaki Dye Printer or Epson sublimation printer.
