I am a knitwear designer and educator working across textiles, fashion and knitwear design internationally and in the UK. Throughout my career I have designed and developed conceptual womenswear knitwear collections and knit samples for luxury fashion houses and diverse brands including Christian Lacroix, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Pringle of Scotland, Pucci, Hardy Amies and Sonia Rykiel.
My practice is driven by a curiosity about knitwear. I am inspired by the transformative potential of a single thread, its ability to become complex stitch structures and interesting garment construction with the possibility to be unraveled and reimagined, a sustainable process.
Travel, heritage knit techniques, sustainable yarn innovation and creative garment silhouettes all inform my work. Through material exploration and technical knowledge, I continue to investigate new possibilities within the discipline.
As Knitwear Designer at Christian Lacroix in Paris, I developed a multidisciplinary approach that combined knit with print, embellishment and woven textiles, embracing experimentation within luxe collections.
Since 2018, I have lectured at Norwich University of the Arts, where I draw on my industry experience to support students in developing confidence, creativity and critical thinking, helping prepare them for an evolving global textiles and fashion industry.
