Clearing top tips
Going through Clearing? Our top tips are designed to help you navigate the process.
Tip 1: Explore different options
Clearing is an opportunity to find the right place to study for you. It isn’t just for if you haven’t got the right grades. If you’re doubting your original choices, Clearing is a great way to explore different options.
Tip 2: Do your research
Whatever your plan for Clearing is, it’s best to know what and where you might want to study. Have a look at our courses and decide what you might be interested in.
Tip 3: Find out if you’ll be asked to share some of your current work
For some of our courses, we’ll have to see some of your current work when you apply. This could be in the form of a portfolio or an audition. Give us a ring and we’ll be happy to give you more information.
Tip 4: Have as much information ready as possible
Try to have as much information ready as possible when you call us, including:
- Your UCAS personal ID number
- Your clearing number
- Any courses you’re interested in
- Your contact details
Tip 5: Remember, there’s no need to rush!
Don’t panic, there’s no need to rush. The first thing to do is get in contact with us.
Tip 6: Book a campus tour and chat to a current student
If you’d like to see the campus before you make a decision, you can book a tour through our website. You can even chat to a current student on our Clearing page if you want to!
Tip 7: Look after yourself
Most importantly, look after yourself. Make a note of our contact details if you have any questions.
Tip 8: Keep an open mind
Try to keep an open mind. If you’re going to university, it really doesn’t matter how you get there.
We hope to see you soon!
