Norwich Ranked UK’s Top Specialist Creative Arts University in National Student Awards
Norwich University of the Arts is the UK’s highest-ranked specialist creative arts university in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) 2026, placing 14th overall among universities across the UK.
Determined entirely by verified student reviews, the WUSCAs are the UK’s largest annual university awards and recognise the institutions delivering the best student experience. Students rate their universities across the areas that matter most to them, including teaching quality, student support, facilities, career prospects and campus life.
Norwich’s position among the top 15 universities nationally places it alongside many of the UK’s largest institutions — a significant achievement for a specialist creative arts university.
Students praised the university’s supportive community, hands-on teaching and vibrant city-centre campus.
One student reviewer wrote:
“The uni is an amazing place to study. Student support, whether from lecturers or other professionals in the uni, is amazing and they’re accommodating to your needs. Student life feels freeing here, with people who are friendly and the student union offering so many opportunities to interact and socialise.”
Another highlighted Norwich’s creative atmosphere and culture of listening to students:
“Norwich has a great community feel, with creativity at its core. Having a city centre campus is a huge plus and the facilities are being constantly improved. Feedback seems to be actively sought and actioned upon.”
A third student praised the quality of teaching and pastoral support:
“Norwich has been an amazing place to study — it’s a beautiful city and the university offers a lot of hands-on support. I feel comfortable speaking to my tutors and lecturers and they offer me the help I need to become the best student I can be.”
A spokesperson for Norwich University of the Arts said:
“Being recognised directly by students in this way is incredibly meaningful. The Whatuni Student Choice Awards reflect the real experiences of our student community, and we’re proud that Norwich continues to be recognised for its supportive environment, creative culture and high-quality teaching.”
The ranking adds to Norwich University of the Arts’ growing national and international profile and reflects its reputation for delivering an outstanding student experience.
