Publication launch and reading with Anna Perach & Philippa Snow
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday 22 January 2026
Commissioned as a counterpart to London-based artist Anna Perach’s exhibition A Leap of Sympathy (Richard Saltoun, London; East Gallery, Norwich, 2025), this limited-edition zine features a new text by essayist and critic Philippa Snow, accompanied by images from the artist.
The event will feature a live reading of The Ingénue Dream by Philippa Snow at 6:30pm and a presentation of images from A Leap of Sympathy by Anna Perach.
The Ingénue Dream responds to Perach’s exhibition through the premise of a disturbing dream: a young actress is persuaded to let a lifelike robotic double perform a nude role in her place. As the double becomes a flawless, passive version of herself, the two begin to mirror one another in a surreal vision of celebrity and self-erasure. The text unfolds as an allegory of feminine stardom and the pressure to replace the real body with an idealised image.
Each visitor will receive a free copy of the zine (first come, first served). Book in advance, or join when you arrive.
