Week 1 – Advertise Anything: Idea development for advertising

Workshop description

This workshop is for creatives seeking to develop their skills in idea generation.

We’ll go over a range of copywriting and art direction examples and challenge you to create your own, by giving you a brand and a calendar event (e.g., McDonald’s & Father’s Day) and tasking you with making an advert for it.

What materials do I need?

• Paper (plain A4 notepad would be best)
• Marker pens
• Fine liners
• A printer (optional)
• Laptop or phone (to share your outcomes)

We aim for the required workshop materials to be accessible to all, with consideration given to those who wish to join digitally or with practical materials.
