Week 5: Trash to Trend: Designing the Future of Fashion with Biomaterials and Recycling

Workshop description

This workshop is for creatives interested in the future of fashion through the lens of biomaterials and innovative design.

Using sweat as a starting point, the session explores how the body can become both a source and a site of material creation, challenging traditional ideas of textiles and production.

What materials do I need?

• Cardboard (e.g. cereal box) is essential
• Pencil/pen
• Ruler
• Glue
• Cello tape
• Recycled materials to help design the shoes, such as paper, cardboard tubes, plastic bottles/lid/labels, crisps package etc.

We aim for the required workshop materials to be accessible to all, with consideration given to those who wish to join digitally or with practical materials.
