Creative Arts and Health in Norwich: Legacy and Sustainability

January 2023 – July 2026

Ensuring a legacy for the arts and mental health research undertaken at Northside House, Hellesdon Hospital and HMP Norwich.

This project will ensure a legacy for the arts and mental health research with Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Trust (NSFT) including the artwork installed at Northside House and the Rivers Centre, Hellesdon. The project continues innovative arts workshops at Northside House, Hellesdon Hospital and HMP Norwich, all of which come under NSFT management.

This activity is focused on sustaining the positive impact of Hospital Rooms’ artwork and providing a ‘legacy’ to become embedded into the occupational therapy provision within the NHS Trust, ensuring policy change within NSFT. It includes undergraduate students, initially from BA (Hons) Fine Art to assist with the art workshops.
