Norwich students celebrate success at 2025 Creative Conscience Awards

Eight students from Norwich University of the Arts have been recognised at this year’s Creative Conscience Awards.  

The students – from the University’s BA (Hons) Graphic Communication, BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BSc (Hons) User Experience Design courses – celebrated wins across Gold, Silver and Bronze categories, with two students receiving Highly Commended awards. 

The Creative Conscience Awards recognise exciting projects that focus on social or environmental impact. The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts, based on creative approach and the potential impact of the project. 

Course Leader for BA (Hons) Graphic Communication and BSc (Hons) User Experience Design, Dave Watson said: 

“Our students have shown exceptional creativity and dedication through design that is motivated by enacting positive change in the world, earning well-deserved recognition at the Creative Conscience Awards. Their work provides a confidently critical lens on the future, and inspiration to our design community.” 

Norwich’s winning entries were: 

• Megan Galey, BA (Hons) Graphic Communication: Unseen Unheard, awarded Gold in the Human Rights category (pictured above left).
• Sam Butler, BA (Hons) Graphic Communication, and Max Barker, BSc (Hons) User Experience Design: Macro, awarded Silver in the Digital and Technology category.
• Fred Foulkes, BA (Hons) Graphic Design, and Rob Atsumi, BSc (Hons) User Experience Design: AtmoSphere, awarded Silver in the Interiors and Environment category.
• Lizzy Lanfear, BSc (Hons) User Experience Design: YourWay, awarded Bronze in the Digital and Technology category (pictured above right). 
• Libby Butler, BA (Hons) Graphic Communication: Motherhood,  Highly Commended in the Typography category (pictured below). 
• Liv Johnson, BSc (Hons) User Experience Design: High Five, Highly Commended in the Service Design category.
