As part of this year’s Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Norwich University of the Arts presents a series of live performances and immersive video installations at our Immersive Visualisation and Simulation Lab (IVSL).
The performances will feature works from An-Ting, Chris Allen, Meitao-Qu, Kate Flurrie, Prof Louis Nixon, Dr Kirk Woolford, Collusion, the Broads Authority, and others, exploring lost and changing landscapes, inaccessible and sensitive sites and urban memories. The works address social and mental anxiety around climate change by exploring imaginable futures co-created with communities that allow them to see beyond the damage of today and the coming changes.
The IVSL is the first facility of its kind in the UK, and brings together film makers, animators, games designers and visual artists from across the region to communicate and address global challenges. It features a 360º screen, cameras, AI and audio facilities.
