Third-year BA (Hons) Illustration students are encouraged to submit their work to national competitions, such as the Penguin Cover Design Award. This competition is not exclusive to students, and creatives resident in the UK are eligible to enter. Georgie’s creative practice focuses on children’s storytelling and book illustration.

Her design for the children’s novel ‘Murder Most Unladylike’ is shortlisted in the children’s category.

“As this is just the first book in a series of ten, I chose to focus on environmental design,” said Georgie, “therefore each book in the series is unique to the individual setting of each story while remaining cohesive as a set.”
