Norwich ranked in QS World University Rankings for Art and Design for the first time
Norwich University of the Arts has been ranked in the 201–300 band globally for Art and Design in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, marking its first-ever inclusion in the internationally recognised ranking.
“This is a significant milestone for Norwich University of the Arts and a clear reflection of the strength of our creative education,” said Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ben Stopher. “To be recognised in the QS World University Rankings for Art and Design for the first time demonstrates our growing international reputation and the impact of our community of students, staff and graduates.”
The ranking reflects the university’s growing global reputation for creative education and follows its recent success in the QS Stars rating system, where it achieved a maximum of Five Stars (Excellent) for Teaching, Facilities, Good Governance, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject assess institutions based on academic reputation, employer reputation, and research impact. Norwich University of the Arts’ inclusion highlights increasing recognition from both academic peers and the global creative industries.
This places the university alongside UK peers such as Brighton, Brunel and Westminster, further demonstrating the UK’s national strength in creative education.
For prospective students, the ranking provides independent global validation of teaching quality and graduate outcomes, building on a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold rating and strong performance across UK university rankings.
