Elm Hill

Norwich’s most famous medieval street, Elm Hill, is a stone’s throw away from campus, boasting beautiful cobbled lanes and whimsical pastel tudor housing. Photogenic all year round, we recommend visiting in Autumn to capture the rich colours of the falling leaves.

Norwich Quayside bridge

Lined with vibrant pastel housing, the view of Norwich Quayside from Fye Bridge on Magdalen Street is not to be missed. Peering over the bridge, you can glimpse the beautiful River Wensum and even spot the top of Norwich Cathedral.

Erpingham house

An influencer’s dream, the exterior of local plant-based restaurant Erpingham House provides the perfect floral backdrop all year round. You can find the floral doorstep on Tombland alongside Erpingham Gate, which leads straight to the entrance of Norwich Cathedral.

Upper St Giles

Home to some of Norwich’s most loved independents, Upper St Giles hosts a beautiful array of decorated shop windows and cafés that you need to visit. Some of our favourite photogenic spots include St Giles Pantry and Norwich Art Shop.

The Book Hive

Burrowed within the Norwich Lanes, the independent book shop The Book Hive is a favourite among literary fans and photographers. The light-green exterior houses a rich collection of unique and colourful books, perfect for browsing and snapping.

Blackfriars Bridge

Overlooking the River Wensum, our very own Blackfriars Bridge (aka St Georges Bridge) is an unmissable scenic spot at the heart of campus. The bridge is bustling with buskers and cyclists and is the perfect spot for a photo or simply enjoying a bite to eat.

Eaton Park

One of Norwich’s most historic parks, Eaton Park features picturesque pavilions, lily ponds and a bandstand. A short walk from the city centre (but it’s worth it!), the park also boasts a café, pantry, tennis courts and even a model boating pond. If you are lucky, you might even spot resident wildlife such as herons!
