Norwich University of the Arts’ Beyond the Frame competition is back for its seventh year. We look for the finest photography by students in Secondary (11+) or Further Education from around the world. The competition is supported by Canon UK, with two overall winners receiving Canon DSLR cameras.
Shortlisted work will be on display in East Gallery from 28 March to 27 April, celebrating the creativity and talent shown by 50 students aged 11 – 19 that impressed our industry judges: Canon ambassador Ian Hippolyte, Norwich alumna Emily Salmon and BA (Hons) Photography course leader James Smith.
The exhibition is free to enter, with no need to book.
People, Places and Things
The Beyond the Frame competition was launched in 2017 to encourage young photographers to develop their craft and showcase their talent. In its debut year, the competition attracted more than 170 entries; this year we have had over 650 entries from around the world covering both photography and moving image.
