Norwich University of the Arts Alumni curate international exhibition In association with the New York Times

Presented at the tenth anniversary of the Athens Democracy Forum, HOME explored pressing themes of war, exile, displacement, be(longing), migration, and identity, presenting a world under many strains. Each artist’s response called for urgency in securing sustainable geopolitical stability, highlighting the vital role creatives play in the direction and innovation of this resolve.

Curated by Alumni Androulla Michael, artist and curator Minnie Weisz, and curatorial assistant and BA (Hons) Architecture graduate Sean Hendley the exhibition featured artists from across the continent, including BA (Hons) Architecture Lecturer Dr Iulian Gavril, and was run in association with The New York Times. Running from 27th September – 2nd October, the forum was attended by an international audience of business leaders, academics, policy-makers, and experts including the European Commission President, Ursula Von Der Leyen; the 8th United Nations Secretary General and Chair, Ban Ki-Moon; and Her Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, amongst others.
