Speaking about her Honorary Professorship, Robert said: “I am so proud to be honoured in this way. It means a lot to know that the student community has found Talk Art podcast a useful and inspiring resource. It was always our mission to try to highlight voices that may not have been given a platform before but also to reveal a side to the well-known guests that had never been discovered before. I am passionate about the way that education can open doors for students both practically but also conceptually. It’s vital we protect and nurture arts education for all!”
Professor Simon Ofield-Kerr, Vice-Chancellor of Norwich University of the Arts, said: “His outstanding curatorial accomplishments and unwavering commitment to difference and diversity in the arts are making an important a contribution to the national cultural landscape and to the continuing development of Margate. Through Talk Art with Russell Tovey, Robert is introducing new communities to art, and opening up new ways for its discussion and understanding.”
