Film and Moving Image Production Professor wins RTS Award

Professor Suri Krishnamma, who teaches on NUA’s BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production, has won an award in the Royal Television Society Craft & Design Awards 2020. 

Professor Suri Krishnamma, along with his camera team, took home the award for Multicamera Work for their film The Way Out. Judges of the award praised the film as ‘an astonishing technical feat’. 

Filmed in Battersea Arts Centre, in one continuous, unbroken shot, The Way Out is an immersive journey through a labyrinth of rooms and corridors, propelled by performances by extraordinary artists such as Omid Djalili, Bláithín Mac Gabhann, Lucy McCormick, Caleb Femi, Botis Seva, Le Gateau Chocolat, The Cocoa Butter Club, Sanah Ahsan and Too Hot For Candy.

The film is directed by Suri Krishnamma and produced by Battersea Arts Centre in partnership with Arts Council England and BBC Arts as part of the Performance Live strand.
