Graduate has Ida Mae music video featured in Rolling Stone
BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image graduate TP Hyland has had his recent music video for band Ida Mae featured on Rolling Stone Magazine’s online platform RollingStone.com.
Hyland, a writer and director, graduated from BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production in 2013 and has also launched his own social video company, Eastkin.
His video for Ida Mae’s single Baby I Need A Driver is the sixth that he has directed for the duo. Referencing 1970’s folk horror films such as The Wicker Man and Blood on Satan’s Claw, the video sees a doomed couple fall in love within a cult (created from scratch for the project).
Filmed in Norfolk, Hyland aimed to create an unsettling, quintessentially English feel and the cast included Skins and Fresh Meat actor Hannah Britland.
He comments about working with Ida Mae, “The most enjoyable thing about working with them is their trust in my creativity. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found two genuine artists who believe in what I do. It’s also incredibly enjoyable because when is working with your best mates not just an absolute dream?”
