BA VFX London industry visit

BA VFX students visit DNEG and Framestore for a day of industry networking.

BA (Hons) VFX students travelled to London last week to visit two top VFX studios, in order to learn from industry experts and make professional contacts. 

The first half of the day saw students drop in to DNEG (Blade Runner 2049, Captain Marvel, First Man) for a visit around their facilities and the chance to hear about the inner workings of the studio. In the afternoon the group was invited to the new offices of Framestore (Alita Battle Angel, Grindelwald. Paddington 2) to hear from their talent co-ordinator about opportunities in film, advertising and VR.   

VFX tutors and students look forward to welcoming back industry tutors Hugo Guerra and Ian Murphy to campus in the near future, as well as Rockstar 3D artist Joseph Rowell.
