BA (Hons) Graphic Design graduate Owen Mathers has collaborated with Norwich-based retailer Lisa Angel on a collection celebrating our fine city.
Owen, who graduated in 2003, worked as a Graphic Designer, but began illustrating in 2013 whilst living in London. He started by carrying a sketchbook around and drawing people on the London Underground, before moving on to buildings and scenery.
He has since made his illustrative hobby into his daily practice, offering live illustration, collaborations with businesses, murals and portraits.
Owen was approached by Lisa Angel to created a range of products with illustrations of popular spots in Norwich.
“Us both being from Norwich, and Norwich being at heart of the Lisa Angel brand meant that the city itself was the natural subject for the collaboration” said Owen.
The products created include tote bags, notebooks, scarves, wash bags, postcards and jewellery boxes.
You can explore the full collection on Lisa Angel’s website.
Keep up-to-date with Owen’s work on his website and Instagram.
