Graduate creates limited edition Agatha Christie stamps
BA (Hons) Graphic Design graduate Jim Sutherland has created six sets of limited edition ‘hidden clue’ stamps (pictured) celebrating the work of crime writer Agatha Christie. Commissioned by the Royal Mail, Jim worked in conjunction with illustrator Neil Webb to create the ‘hidden clue’ stamps from some of Christie’s well-known crime novels. The clues are revealed when the stamps are exposed to UV light or heat, with Jim telling Creative Review “As ever – there’s so much detail in handcrafting for such small canvasses. The books themselves are beautifully written with such clever plots and twists – we were keen to reflect that in the scenes chosen from each story”.
