Kiran Arora on Celebrating Diwali in Norwich

MA Communication Design student Kiran Arora discusses the significance of Diwali, what it means to her and how she is planning on celebrating the festival in Norwich this year.

What is Diwali?

Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. For me it is the festival of happiness and love along with the combination of good food and amazing sweets.

How will you be celebrating Diwali this year?

This year I am far from my family, but Diwali is the start of new relationships. I am planning to celebrate the festival with my housemates in Norwich and I am happy that they are excited to join in being part of this lovely festival.
