Courses

Norwich University of the Arts offers three year undergraduate BA and BSc courses and one year postgraduate MA courses in a range of creative subjects. There are also four year undergraduate degree courses available.

Applying

Applications for all our undergraduate courses, BA or BSc courses should be made via UCAS.

For MA courses you can apply directly to Norwich University; please contact the International Office for all direct application forms.

Norwich will accept applications up to 5 weeks before the start of term. Courses commence in September only.

After applying

After completing the application, candidates from overseas must submit a digital portfolio of creative work. Candidates are supplied step by step guidance throughout the process.

Undergraduate Year 1 entry

Year 0 entry

Most undergraduate degrees at Norwich University offer a Year 0 (four year degree) option. Find out more about Year 0.

The Year 0 option has lower academic requirements to the typical three year degrees. If you would like to discuss the entry requirements for Year 0 entry please contact the International Office.

Postgraduate academic requirements

BA (Hons) or BSc degree with a 2:1 or equivalent in a subject related to your proposed course of study. Contact the International Office to discuss your qualification.

English requirements

International students are required to hold an English language qualification. Both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants are required to have a minimum IELTS exam score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section. We also accept some alternatives to IELTS which you can find on the International Entry Requirements page.

Australia – completion of the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education and within top 20% of ATAR.

Brazil – completion of Certificado de Conclusao de Ensino Medio with grade 7 or above.

Canada – completion of the High School Diploma with an average of 70% or above in five grade 12 subjects.

Ghana – completion of Diploma or Higher National Diploma from a recognised university with 60% or above.

India – please see our dedicated India page.

Indonesia – completion of Certificate of Graduation from Secondary School (SMK or SMA streams) with a grade of 71 or above.

Japan – please see our dedicated Japan page.

Kazakhstan – completion of Diploma of Secondary Vocational Education with a 3.0 GPA or above.

Kenya – completion of Diploma or Higher National Diploma from a recognised university with 65% or above.

Malaysia – please see our dedicated Malaysia page.

Mexico – please see our dedicated Mexico page.

New Zealand – completion of the University Entrance Certificate and NCEA Level 3 qualification with at least 2 subjects at Merit or above.

Nigeria – completion of a National Diploma from a recognised university with 3.0 CGPA or above. We can also accept A levels, see our international apply page for more details.

Norway – completion of the VVO with average marks of 4 or above.

Philippines – completion of the High School Diploma (Academic or Arts and Design track) with 85% or above OR an Associate Degree.

Saudi Arabia – completion of a diploma from a technical college/vocational institute. We would consider the Tawjihiyya certificate on a case-by-case basis.

Singapore – please see our dedicated Singapore page.

South Africa – completion of the National Certificate with 70% or above in at least 5 Higher Grade subjects.

Switzerland – completion of the Federal Maturity Certificate with a grade of 5 or above.

Thailand – please see our dedicated Thailand page.

Turkey – completion of an Associate Degree with 3.0 GPA or above.

United Arab Emirates – completion of the Higher College of Technology Diploma or completion of one year at university with grades of 3.0/B or above.
