5 Graphics graduates win in Creative Conscience Awards 2021
Five students from BA (Hons) Graphic Communication have won five separate Creative Conscience Awards. Creative Conscience set a series of annual briefs to design students across the UK. They aim to inspire creatives to turn their skills toward meaningful campaigns
BA Graphic Communication – winners:
Molly Mitchell wins gold for their project ‘Change the Track’ in the Social Issues category. Molly’s project uses the power of words and music to inspire young people living on the streets to pursue their interests.
Ruby Douglass was awarded silver for their project ‘Straight Shouldn’t be Default’. The project takes famous typefaces and alters them slightly to make them ‘a little less straight’. This project is based around standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
Lily West won bronze for their campaign ‘Worries out the Window’ focusing on student mental health, in a collaborative campaign with Student Minds and Post-it.
Sian Wong is Highly Commended for their project ‘Swinging in your Sixties’; a typographic campaign for Durex and AgeUK.
George Messer also received a Highly Commended award for their project ‘Sea Stainable’; a typographical campaign to highlight the unsustainable human impact on the ocean.
