Fine Art graduate selected to exhibit at pioneering space research centre
MA Fine Art graduate Holly Sandiford has recently exhibited at Leicester’s Space Park as part of the “Space: Science u0026amp; Nature” open art exhibition.
Modified:
Launched in 2022 by British astronaut Tim Peake, Space Park Leicester is a pioneering space research hub of collaborative laboratories, teaching facilities, and working spaces for researchers and businesses; developed by the University of Leicester and international partners.
Recently, the research park announced its Space Park Art project, bringing together artists and practitioners to examine the creative industries’ relationship to science and nature, opening its first open art exhibition: “Space: Science & Nature”.
Thirty artists were invited by a selection panel to exhibit at the event, including MA Fine Art graduate Holly Sandiford, whose work explores micro-level ecosystems and their relationship to greater space.
The exhibition is the first in a series of events at the Space Park and is open to the public until 21 October 2022.
