Norwich University of the Arts | GREAT Scholarships 2025 | China and India

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Norwich University of the Arts is offering one £10,000 scholarship to a student from China or India applying for any our postgraduate courses for the September 2025 intake.

The GREAT Scholarship Programme

The GREAT Scholarships programme, launched by the British Council together with 70 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to a student pursuing a one-year postgraduate course of study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects at the 70 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Norwich University of the Arts’ Great Scholarship is open to any September 2025 postgraduate applicant who is a China or an Indian passport holder. The award takes the form of a tuition fee reduction. The application deadline for the scholarship is 18th May 2025 23:59 BST.

Eligibility

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

  • Be a citizen of China or India holding a valid Chinese or Indian passport;
  • Be an overseas / international fee payer;
  • Hold a valid offer of study for a full-time Postgraduate course at Norwich University of the Arts; and
  • Meet all the conditions of your offer (ie, hold an unconditional offer) by 18th May 2025.

Application Process

Application Deadline: 23:59 BST, 18th May 2025.

  1. Complete the above application form on or before 23:59 BST on 18th May 2025.
  2. Our International Office will review all the applications and may reach out to you to request a copy of your Indian passport.
  3. We will inform all applicants of the outcome of your application by 30th June 2025.
  4. The successful applicant will have 7 working days to accept the scholarship, firmly accept their unconditional offer, meet any other conditions, and pay their deposit.
  5. If the candidate is unable to meet the above requirements by the deadline, the scholarship will be reallocated to the reserve candidate by default.

Terms & Conditions

  • Successful candidates will be required to represent Norwich University of the Arts and the British Council as an ambassador for the GREAT scheme.
  • The Scholarship is applied as a reduction to the Programme Fees. It is not available to use against maintenance costs, and no cash alternatives are available.
  • You cannot combine two or more scholarships, discounts, bursaries, or awards (collectively called ‘Awards) offered by the University or its partners. If selected for two or more Awards, the University will offer you the Award of higher value and any previous offers of awards will be automatically withdrawn.
  • If you choose to defer your place, your scholarship will be revoked
