Christian Petersen, a lecturer of BA (Hons) Illustration has won Denmark’s Most Beautiful Book competition in the graphic novel category with his book Efter København.
The climate fiction graphic novel Efter København (After Copenhagen) is freely based on Richard Jeffries book After London (1885) and John Ruskin’s lectures, The Storm-cloud of the Nineth Century (1884). It was published by @forlagetforlaens in 2022.
Denmark’s Most Beautiful Book #åretsbedstebogarbejde has been awarded by @boghaandvaerk since 1934. Efter København will be included in a publication, traveling exhibition and automatically qualify for the World’s Most Beautiful Book competition, which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany later this year.
