Yard Coffee
The newest addition to Norwich’s café scene, Yard Coffee is a coffee shop full of plants and good vibes on St Stephens Street. With an aesthetic interior and artisan hot drinks, Yard Coffee is an excellent place for motivated study or to capture an Instagram-worthy picture.
Expresso
Another local coffee shop nearby campus frequented by NUA Students — Expresso offers a wide range of handmade sandwiches and very fine coffee. With its welcoming atmosphere, and outdoor seating overlooking St. Andrews Hall, check this place out for a bite or for a place to put your feet up for a while.
Two Magpies Bakery
With an extensive menu of pastries, cakes and other sweet treats, the Two Magpies Bakery prides itself on its artisan bakes and even offers expert baking classes. Located at the top of Timber hill, the bakery also serves a great breakfast and brunch menu- a great start to any day!
Playhouse bar
Wonderful bar that serves the Playhouse theatre with a great selection of drinks to choose from and a vibrant patio garden outside. Serving real ales from local breweries, they also have German lagers on tap, delicious wines, exotic tea and coffee. Making this a great choice to grab a quick drink and socialise in outside or indoors.
The Bicycle shop
Good for breakfast, lunch and dinner, The Bicycle shop is located on St Benedict’s Street has great vegetarian options- this atmospheric place serves everything from curried squash to a pan-roasted hake fillet and a West African peanut stew that’s to die for.
Gonzo’s Tea Room
Coffee. Burgers. Cocktails. Disco. What more could you want from an unforgettable night out in Gonzo’s. Located right next to our Bank Plain campus building, Gonzo’s holds the title of one of the Top 20 burgers in England and Top 5 wings in the UK- so it safe to say it’s definitely an unforgettable experience. With the closing time at 3 am on weekdays and 3:30 am at weekends, check them out both in the day and night!
Frank’s bar
Combination café and bar a stone’s throw away from campus; full of good food, top drinks, marvellous music and a great atmosphere. The best time at Frank’s is definitely their Sunday Breakfast menu, with a classic afternoon film screened in the back room.
