Alistair Badger

Alistair is an Evenings and Saturdays Technician in the Architecture and Interior Design studios at Norwich University of the Arts.

Alistair is part of the team that runs and maintains any equipment within the Architecture and Interior Design department, assisting with any technical or software issues. He also does 1-to-1 workshops, assisting students with operating equipment, concept and exhibition-grade model making, photography, and presentations.

Alistair is experienced in a range of software across multiple disciplines, such as the Adobe suite, Sketchup, Rhino and AutoCAD. He also works with large format printing, filament 3D printing, laser cutting, and any related CAD software.

Hi I’m Alistair, and I am the evening and weekend technician for Boardman House. I am a recent graduate of the Interior Design course at the University and now work to help keep the Interior Design and Architecture department and its equipment running smoothly.

After graduating, I started working freelance as an interior designer, and now have a range of projects under my belt, including restaurants, museums and residential projects. Working freelance alongside my technician role has allowed me to learn a broad blanket of very useful skills along with a good amount of industry experience to pass back to the students. Having worked as a student technician during my time at the university, I have extensive experience with the required software and hardware for both the Architecture and Interior Design courses.
