From initially a fine art painting/photographic background I ultimately studied a BA (Hons) in Film & Video: Production exploring social and political issues through 16mm, 35mm and Digital Video outcomes. Upon graduating I became employed as part of a video production unit producing and editing films for NHS Primary Healthcare, Norfolk Constabulary, East Anglian Film Archive, UEA Literary Festival, Aviva and many more. This role also involved supporting student learning in a TV studio environment and included providing media training for academic staff in preparation for national television appearances.
In 2005 I joined Norwich University of the Arts as a Photography Stores Person whilst simultaneously producing freelance photographic/video work and pursuing my own personal projects. In 2010 I took on the additional role of Lecture Theatre & Seminar Rooms Technician providing technical support to visiting artists and lecturers before becoming a full-time Digital Imaging Technician in 2011. I am passionate about supporting students of all disciplines to achieve their ideas and desired outcomes through photography and work hard to build their confidence by transferring my own skills, knowledge, and experience.
