Romilly Quay
Romilly works across all year groups. She delivers technical sessions, as well as offering one to one support with pattern cutting and all aspects of garment construction. Her responsibilities also include maintaining resources and studio equipment within the fashion studios.
I originally studied Fine Art and later completed a Master’s degree in fashion. I have worked in various roles in industry including bridal wear, costume for theatre, pattern cutting and garment construction.
I am particularly interested in creative/innovative pattern cutting and mindful use of fabrics and resources.
Recently I have been creating one- off outerwear pieces made from reclaimed materials and discarded garments.
I really enjoy problem solving and helping students to find practical ways of translating ideas into reality. I am always approachable and open minded. I welcome the creative challenges and individuality that each new cohort of students brings.
