MA Fine Art student sketches Phill Jupitus for ITV News

MA Fine Art student Tom Hill created a quick-fire portrait of comedian Phill Jupitus during filming at NUA for ITV Anglia News.

Tom was asked to sketch Phill while he was being interviewed about his interest in art and ahead of his two-night show at Norwich Playhouse.

The pen and chalk sketch was completed in barely five minutes – and using both left and right hands – while the filming took place. Tom presented the portrait to a delighted Phill at the end of the interview. Phill also met BA (Hons) Fine Art student Bethany Freer and explored her work, ‘Synthecity’ in St Georges.

The interview was broadcast on ITV Anglia’s main evening news bulletin before the opening night of Phill’s nationwide tour.
