Norwich University of the Arts wins TIGA Best Educational Institution 2023

Norwich University of the Arts has been announced as TIGA Best Educational Institution at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2023.

TIGA has recognised Norwich University of the Arts as the top Educational Institution, beating ten other shortlisted universities from across the UK. Winning the award reflects Norwich’s outstanding initiatives to support students, particularly on the BA (Hons) Games Art and Design and BSc (Hons) Games Development courses.

The TIGA Games Industry Awards 2023 is the UK’s most prestigious celebration of the video games industry. The Best Educational Institution category recognises institutions that deliver a high proportion of students into graduate jobs, particularly in the games sector. The judges were looking for evidence of strong links with industry and a track record in research and innovation.

TIGA is the trade association that represents the UK’s video games industry. The TIGA Games Industry Awards recognises excellence in game development, business and education, celebrating the achievements of both small and large studios, plus the companies and institutions who work with them.

“The award provides assurance from our industry colleagues and higher education peers that a degree from Norwich University of the Arts bears significant weight and is recognised widely across the sector”

Associate Professor Mark Wickham, Director of Computer Arts and Technology

Dr Richard Wilson OBE, TIGA CEO, commented ‘Congratulations to Norwich University of the Arts on winning the TIGA Best Educational Institution Award 2023. Norwich offers some excellent games courses and has a great reputation for preparing students for a career in the video games industry.’
