Constructed Textiles Workshop

In the Constructed Textiles Workshop you’ll make use of digital sewing, weaving, embroidery and knitting machines with professional software. Equipment includes; Louet and ARM floor looms, Harris 4,8 & 16 shaft looms, Bernina sewing machines, Merlin Pro CAD Embroidery Machine, spinning wheels and smocking machines.

The main Constructed Textiles Workshop is located in SG1 on the lower ground floor of St Georges Building. Additional equipment is integrated within the Textiles course studio in SG18 (ground floor St Georges Building). Situated within this room is the STOLL CMS 530K electronic knitting machine with supporting software and work stations, pattern cutting tables and a range of domestic knitting and sewing machines.

Located at the heart of the campus in our St Georges Street building our textiles workshops are equipped with resources for digital and traditional knit, weave, embroidery, print and dye.

Our St Georges Building is home to our Munnings Drawing Studio, printmaking and photomedia, screenprinting, etching, relief and monoprint, constructed textiles and life drawing studios. Our Student Enquiries team is located on the ground floor opposite the student space area.
