Sir John Hurt Film Studio

Named after our former Chancellor, the BAFTA award winning and Academy nominee Sir John Hurt, the space enables students to develop specialist skills in direction, sound design, and scriptwriting. The studio is equipped with Canon EOS C300 cameras, green screen, and control room.

You’ll learn how to build, direct, and produce on a professional film set.

Before using the Film Studio you must complete a Health & Safety Induction, for regular users this will be timetabled by your course. For students collaborating on a single project this will be arranged with a technician as part of the booking process.

Find the induction and other support materials for the Sir John Hurt Film Studio on the VLE.
