Library

Housed in the Duke Street Building, a 19th century school building updated to make it fully accessible, the Library houses approximately 38,000 printed volumes, specialising in resources devoted to arts, design, architecture and media.

Finding your way around

When you register as a student at Norwich University of the Arts you’ll receive a Library account, enabling you to borrow books, DVDs and games, renew items and make reservations online. You’ll also receive a Library Welcome induction, for an overview of everything the Library offers.

Throughout the year, information literacy sessions will be made available to you, covering topics including research skills, using online resources and referencing support. You can also book a one-to-one tutorial with your dedicated subject librarian.

General support is available during Library opening hours via the first-floor helpdesk and library staff office.

Printing, Photocopying and Scanning

Colour and black and white printing and copying facilities are available, as well as A4 and A3 flatbed scanners.

Computers in the Library

The Library has a mix of PCs and Macs, with more Macs available for use in the adjacent Mac Room. The Duke Street Building is WIFI enabled, so you’re welcome to use your own laptop.

Who can use the Library?

Access to the Library extends to all registered Norwich University of the Arts students and staff, as well as users registered within the SCONUL Access Scheme, alumni and certain categories of educational users and artists/designers.

Duke Street Building houses the University Library, Lecture Theatre, seminar rooms and University shop. Undergraduate Open Day registrations are held here.
