Norwich University of the Arts has its own art materials shop, open for students and staff during term-time weekdays 10am–3pm, which sells a wide range of basic and specialist art supplies at very competitive prices, including:

  • Adhesives
  • Block printing materials
  • Book binding equipment
  • Cutting tools
  • Model making and animation supplies
  • Pens, pencils, markers, and inks
  • Paints, canvases, and brushes
  • Papers and cards
  • Portfolios, archive boxes and display materials
  • Sketchbooks
  • General stationery items
  • Earphones, charging cables and USB flash drives

Here at the University shop we strive to be as sustainable as possible whilst fulfilling our obligation to offer competitive prices and necessary materials to students and staff.

As such we pay particular attention to products that are made with recycled materials. This is most easily achieved, but not exclusive to papers, where sketch books made with recycled papers are easily obtainable. We also offer other paper stock that is made from alternatives to trees e.g. wildflower seed, hemp and indigenous plants from Nepal.

Across the shop we mark our shelf edge pricing with the V symbol in instances where we are sure that products are vegan. This doesn’t mean that items not so marked are not vegan, but we only use the mark where we are able to confirm with certainty.

We also distribute free re-cycled materials and have a collection point for used pens and inkjet cartridges. If you can’t find what you are looking for on the shop floor please ask. We may be able to help.

We encourage customers to bring their own bags. Alternatively, re-usable waterproof lined jute bags and university-branded tote bags can be bought, or plastic carrier bags may be purchased for a small charge.
