Claudia Morgado

Claudia joined Norwich University in 2023 as Course Leader for both BA (Hons) Architecture and MArch Architecture. Prior to joining Norwich, she was a practicing architect and teacher in Johannesburg South Africa.

She has spent the last fifteen years practicing, teaching, and learning architecture and continues to expand her understanding of all it entails. She has co-founded practices, research collectives, and a coffee shop.

In 2010, she co-established BOOM Architects in Johannesburg, with an interest in building new knowledge through collaborative critical practice. At the same time, she began to teach at the University of Johannesburg, initially in the undergraduate school with involvement in various years and study areas.

In 2016, she moved to the Graduate School of Architecture to lead the Masters Design Research Unit 13.
